After graduating from Gelibolu Anatolian High School, she completed her undergraduate studies in the Department of Economics (English) at Istanbul University. Upon graduation, she began her career in the public sector, serving for three years as a Revenue Specialist at the Revenue Administration. She then passed the examination organized by the Tax Inspection Board and embarked on her career as a Tax Inspector, a role she diligently carried out for 12 years.
During her tenure, she specialized in tax audits, auditing techniques, and financial legislation, gaining extensive experience in various areas of tax law and financial inspection. In addition to her professional experience, she also pursued academic development, graduating from the Faculty of Law at Yaşar University in Izmir. In this way, she built a strong educational background in both economics and law.
She has a strong command of English and a basic knowledge of French, keeping her professional expertise up to date by closely following national and international developments.
Şebnem Becce Özdemir, married and a mother of two daughters, places importance not only on her professional career but also on social responsibility and civil society activities. She actively participates in social and professional communities as a member of the Turkish Association of War Veterans, Martyrs’ Widows and Orphans, the Balkan Rumelian Industrialists and Business People’s Association, and the Tax Inspectors’ Association.
